“The Lights of Life”

After 20 years of artistic research, in 2024, the artist embarked on a new exploration into generative digital art. During his transition from physical to digital art, the artist fell in love with generative art. He is among the first Italian artists to create generative works, a creative process where, after the artist’s initial input, the development of the artwork becomes entirely autonomous. His project, The Lights of Life, consists of eight series and which correlates 7 colors with 7 virtues of the human being.
Light is life. White light is made up of seven colours, just as human enlightenment can be achieved with a set of seven states.

BLUE SERIES UNIVERSAL SPIRITUALITY

“Blue Series Universal Spirituality”, is the first of seven. Each color of white light, dispersed like through a prism, is associated with a state of the human soul. The seven colors – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet – represent the fundamental stages that every
individual must traverse to achieve enlightenment, a divine inspiration that transcends human experience.

This perception arose from the vision of Newton’s Prism. What mystery is this? What does Nature want to tell us?

In this first piece, blue embodies universal spirituality, inviting us to look beyond ourselves and open our souls to the vast and mysterious universe. The blue fluid I have created, which I describe as atavistic magma, represents primordial energy—the matter from which everything originates. Within this fluid, a orange egg floats—a recurring motif in my works—symbolizing birth, potential, and the ongoing connection of humanity with universal laws.

HISTORY OF BLUE UNIVERSAL SPIRITUALITY

“History of Blue Universal Spirituality” is a short story that reveals how the artist conceived “Blue Universal Spirituality”, the first of eight works dedicated to the colors and states of the human soul.

“I was in the countryside, immersed in the calm of a porch, while I watched the rain fall lightly. When the rain stopped, the rainbow appeared, and I, as if attracted by an ancient call, stood up to admire it. The rainbow has always fascinated me, despite having known it since childhood. What does Nature want to tell us? Why, even if we know how it is formed, does it remain so full of mystery?
As I reflected, I was reminded of Newton’s prism and the phenomenon of the decomposition of white light into its seven colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. A physical principle that we know, and yet, beyond science, I wondered: what does this natural spectacle really want to teach us?
That thought accompanied me, overwhelmed by the daily chaos, until, a few mornings later, I had a perception, a revelation: what if those seven colors were the seven qualities that human beings must cultivate to achieve enlightenment? It was a profound vision, an intuition that pushed me to transform this thought into art…”

RED INTENSE PASSION

In this work “Red Intense Passion”, red embodies intense passion, a force that arises naturally from within, yet needs nurturing and fueling. Passion empowers us, bringing vitality, energy, and the drive to take action. In its absence, we may feel detached and apathetic.

The primal red fluid in this piece, which I call “atavistic magma,” represents the fundamental energy from which all matter originates. Within this fluid, a green cone floats, symbolizing how human passion directs us toward a clear goal, moving our entire being toward fulfillment and generating inner strength.

HISTORY OF RED INTENSE PASSION

“History of Red Intense Passion” is a short story that reveals how the artist conceived “Red Intense Passion”, the second of eight works dedicated to the colors and states of the human soul.

“An idea was born from the vision of a rainbow.
From Newton’s prism, white light breaks down into seven colors.
Which Natural and Universal law provides for this?
Seven colors, like seven virtues of the human being to achieve enlightenment.
Red Intense Passion is the second series of The Lights of Life project.
Intense passion is like a breath of wind that pushes a sailboat, it’s like a flowing sap, it’s like a ray of sunshine that warms, It’s like a hug that heartens.
Intense passion is to be experienced in the many moments of a day.
It enriches our soul…”
